PAPL Policy On Impartiality & Independence
PAPL POLICY ON IMPARTIALITY
- PAPL Employees including inspectors shall act impartially ensuring that he/she is independent in judgment and actions and takes all reasonable steps to be satisfied as to the soundness of all decisions taken.
- PAPL Employees including inspectors shall act honestly, in good faith and in thebest interests of PAPL & its clients, not engaging in conduct likely to bring discreditupon PAPL or its Clients.
- PAPL Employees including inspectors shall use due care and diligence in fulfilling their respective functions and exercising any powers attached there with.
- PAPL Employees including inspectors shall remain bound by confidentiality even after opting out/retiring from PAPL.
- PAPL Employees including inspectors shall contact their immediate supervisor if he/she in doubt or would like to report an infraction.
- PAPL Employees including inspectors shall inform their immediate supervisor of any conflicts, or potential conflicts of interest, arising out of the fulfilment of his / her duties and the responsibilities as an inspector.
- PAPL Employees including inspectors shall disclose his/her past and present associations with the entity to be inspected and/or the group of companies to which it belongs or any entity engaged in the inspection.
- PAPL Employees including inspectors shall not inspect products of those companies where he/she has been engaged as Consultant or employee or any other role in the location of his last employment, which may affect impartiality for at least 2 years since separation from it. Any association with the organisation to be witnessed shall be brought to the notice of immediate supervisor.
PAPL POLICY ON INDEPENDENCE
- PAPL inspectors shall not be involved in Planning & engineering activities
- PAPL employees or its inspectors shall not be engaged in the design, manufacture, supply, installation, maintenance of the items inspected and/or in any activities that may be in conflict to their independence of Judgement and integrity in relation to their inspection activities.
- PAPL or its directors are not linked legally through common ownership, do not hold shares or are members of the board in entities who are into design , manufacture , supply , installation, or maintenance of the items being inspected.
- PAPL Inspection shall be independent of any other activity that it is engaged with the client.
